716: Adobe Photoshop Introduction

Program Overview

This program provides instructions on how to create professional looking images for both print and the web.

In this program, participants will identify the Photoshop environment, learn about raster and vector graphics and how to use Adobe Bridge. Participants will select image areas and modify and manipulate selections. In addition, participants will work with text, layers and resize images and prepare images for printing and the web.

Designed for

Those who have little or no experience with Photoshop. Participants are expected to be familiar with the basic functions common to all Windows applications (save, open and print files). If you are not familiar with these functions, it would be advisable to attend the Introduction to Computers program ( Number 701)

• Modify image size and resolution
• Save images optimised for web use or printing
• Import images from a camera or memory card.
